Description
An antique Caucasian Kazak of the Göbekli type, so called for its large medallions, carrying a mirrored woven date of ١٣٢١ (1321 AH / 1904 CE) in the ivory field medallion. It is hand-knotted in all wool on a wool foundation, with an even pile of 2–3 mm.
The field is anchored by large octagonal medallions populated with tribal zoomorphic figures, birds and horned goats among them. The border is geometric throughout, a repeating series of eight-pointed stars and "S" motifs. The palette runs to madder and indigo, drawn from vegetable dyes with some aniline.
Knot density measures approximately 1,500 knots per square decimeter (about 97 KPSI), across a format of roughly 4'10" × 8'10".

Condition
Visually in very good shape, with professional historical restorations; the pile and the fringes at both ends have been restored, and the selvedges and ends are fully overcast. Best suited to barefoot use or low-traffic areas.
