Baltic Honey Amber Necklace, Poland, 1970s

A graduated necklace strung from natural Baltic amber beads in a rich honey color, transparent to translucent, each bead lightly polished, with some natural inclusions. Made in Poland in the 1970s.

The strand measures approximately 26 in (66 cm), with bead widths running from about 7 to 19 mm, and weighs 54 grams. The clasp is a gold-filled ring. Easy to wear and equally at home in a collection of vintage Baltic amber from the period.
