Description
A first-version Zeiss Ikon Contessa, the high-end 35 mm folding rangefinder made in Stuttgart between 1950 and 1953. Body serial number Q 48124.
The camera carries a fast Carl Zeiss Tessar 45 mm f/2.8 lens, serial number 950799, with apertures from f/2.8 to f/22, in a Compur Rapid shutter offering B and 1 to 1/500 second. The shutter appears to work properly at all speeds and the diaphragm is in good working order.
The taking lens is crystal clear and clean. A small internal stain is present in the viewfinder but does not interfere with the view. The uncoupled selenium cell meter is not working.

Condition
Externally in good clean condition, showing little use with minor wear and rubbing. The shutter appears to work properly at all speeds and the lens is clear; a small internal stain in the viewfinder does not obstruct the view, and the uncoupled selenium meter is not working.
