Description
A margin block of four of the United States 4¢ commemorative of 1960, marking the hundredth anniversary of the Pony Express. The design, a rider at full gallop, is arguably the most kinetic image ever engraved for a United States stamp.
Mint, original gum, never hinged, with a sound face and grading very fine. The selvage margin is intact, and the block frames well. The photographs are the best guide to its condition.
