A margin block of four of the United States 4¢ commemorative issued in 1960, showing the American flag with fifty stars. The stamp marks the accession of Hawaii to statehood on August 21, 1959, the event that added the fiftieth star to the flag.

The block is sound and extremely fine, retaining its selvage margin. A quiet piece of mid-century Americana, and an unusually graphic one, well suited to mounting or framing.
