Description
A classic Kodak Folding Vigilant Six-20, made by Eastman Kodak of Rochester, New York, between 1939 and 1949 for 620 roll film. The body serial number, 412883, is stamped on the back of the front support foot. The camera also carries a waist-level swiveling finder; the film winder knob sits at the top left, with right-to-left film transport.
It is fitted with a Kodak Anaston f/6.3, 105 mm lens, with apertures of 6.3, 8, 11, 16, 22 and 32, in a Kodak Flash Dakon shutter offering T, B, 1/25, 1/50 and 1/100 second. Both the taking and finder lenses are clear. The shutter has not been tested.
The crisp black leather bellows is clean and folds neatly, and the folding mechanism and lock work smoothly, a good example for a Kodak folding camera collection. As with all vintage optics offered here, shutter speeds have not been professionally tested and the camera is sold as is, without warranty of suitability for taking pictures.
