Description
A light turquoise opaline glass vase of the late nineteenth century, probably French, with a scalloped rim and hand-painted enameled floral decoration. Remnants of the original gilding survive alongside the bouquet.
Hand formed and blown, the base carries the shear cut, or straw, mark left by the glassmaker's tools. It stands 8¼ inches (210 mm) high.
