Description

A Eugene Dietzgen 6300 Series transit, serial number 90876, made in the USA circa 1966. The telescope is 12 inches long, with a doublet objective and a magnifying power of about 20x, and comes with its lens shade and cap.

The optics are in good working order: focusing operates smoothly and the cross hairs focus sharply. An instrument of real presence on a desk or shelf in an office, den, or library, and a capable scope for looking at the night sky. Any contemplated survey use would require professional calibration.
